The Eastern States Building Officials Federation is preparing to offer its 60th year of educational opportunities to Code Enforcement Officials, and those who are in related professions dealing with the built environment.

This year’s Annual Eastern States Building Officials Federation Conference/School will be held March 29th thru April 1st, 2009 at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH. ESBOF is offering you this opportunity not only to receive the most current International Code Council training courses, but for the second straight year ESBOF and ICC will be sponsoring a certification test day on Sunday, March 29, 2009.

This year’s conference will also present the attendee with a number of opportunities not available in the past. First, we have designed a seminar track which will consist of three days of ICC programs which will deal directly with the issues of Green Buildings, and will culminate on Wednesday with an introduction to ICC 700, the National Green Building Standard. Along with the conference’s “Green Track” there will be a “Code Track” and an “Industry Track” offering seminars in ICC codes and industry products respectively.

Secondly, this year’s conference will be held in the State of New Hampshire for the first time in its sixty year history and will give the attendee an opportunity to see a part of the Northeast Region they may not have seen before. The conference will be held at the University of New Hampshire and this will give us a chance to see what the University is researching in new products, which are innovative, energy efficient and respectful of our environment.

Finally, we believe your attendance at this conference will enhance your ability to keep up with the latest code requirements and products now being introduced into the built environment.
