President's Message

The Eastern States Building Officials Conference is pleased and excited to be holding our 63rd Annual Conference at the beautiful Hilton Long Island/Huntington in Melville, NY on April 1st to the 4th, 2012.

The regulations that govern the built environment are continually changing. To meet the demands these changes place on code and fire officials and the members of the professional design community requires that we regularly upgrade our knowledge base. The motto of the Federation, The man who stops learning today is uneducated tomorrow, personifies that obligation.

In its 63rd year, the Federation has endeavored to continue our tradition of academic achievement by offering a diverse, interesting and relevant educational experience that will enhance your knowledge of building and fire codes and other regulations that affect the built environment. The conference offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your understanding of the codes while earning CEUs and in-service training credits.

On Sunday, April 1st, the Conference will again be offering an opportunity to take ICC certification exams.

In addition to our educational seminars, the conference offers a chance to network with your peers. On premises vendors will also be present to showcase the latest products intended to assist you in your role as designer or regulator.

Finally, the conference offers an opportunity to enjoy some of the many attractions that the Long Island region has to offer. There is an opening event on Sunday evening, a banquet on Tuesday and a full companions program highlighted by trips to some popular area attractions.
