President's Message

Eastern States Building Officials Federation is entering our 59th year. The Federation has partnered with the ICC Region 6 Chapter known as The Northeast Regional Coalition to provide educational benefits to Code Officials within Region 6. Region 6 covers all of the New England States and New York State. As many of you know ESBOF holds an Annual School every spring. In addition to our 2008 Annual School to be held in Sturbridge MA. April 6th – 9th, 2008, the Federation will be conducting one-day training/educational seminars throughout Region 6 in the coming months. We are providing this additional training to help ensure that all code officials within Region 6 have as many opportunities for training as is possible. At the Annual School in Sturbridge 2008, we will be providing not only training, but an individual will be able to take certain ICC Certification tests. This opportunity is a first within Region 6. Think of it as one stop shopping. We will provide an ICC one or two day seminar followed by the corresponding certification test.

Eastern States Building Officials Federation is going through many changes this year. One such change will be a newsletter. This is being done to help communicate our message to Code Officials in the Northeast. This newsletter will contain information such as a calendar of events, contact information for members, etc. Up to date information will be available via our web site at www.esbof.org. Our goals are to increase membership and provide opportunities to members that are not available elsewhere such as certification testing. Our first seminar will be held in the early fall. We look forward to seeing you at an ESBOF event in the future.
